• Distinct play areas and easy direction sense
  • Special immersive Homage to Empire Strikes Back
  • Wide open areas with blizzard exhaustion zones to contain players
  • Long view distances because of the few static meshes increasing draw calls
As players exited the Hoth's frigid spaceport, something that warms the heart of Star Wars fans is familiar structures from the movies. Ion cannons atop the mountains, and the main generators remind players of the their connection to Hoth from empire strikes back.

The surrounding area has a primary quest hub and 2 secondary quest hubs to keep players moving further and further out into the ice. This area in particular was free of obtrusive structures to give the feel of an endless snow covered waste. Low snow drifts broke up the flatness with a high view distance. This also made unusual structures like this one stand out even more. From this location other structures can be seen faded into the pale blue fog always giving the player a clear sense of direction.
